On the 31st March 2023, Cambodian Insurance Brokers Association (CIBA) organized its 1st AGM held at GIA Tower located at Diamond Island, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This event was presided over by Dr. Hor Sovathana, Deputy Director General of Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC). The event was attended by Chairman of Insurance Association of Cambodia (IAC), IRC delegate, the management committee members of CIBA, CIBA members, and many other insurance industry leaders.

The agenda of the event covered a number of important points including a welcome remarks made by Mr. MEAS Sophat, Chairman of CIBA, opening remarks by IRC, presentation on the 2022 achievements of CIBA and future directions for 2023-2025, financial statement of CIBA, election of two additional management committee members, membership certificate handover for CIBA members, and two main panel discussions on key insurance topics including 1) Insurance Distributions in Cambodia 2) How Could Insurance Brokers Contribute to the Development of Insurance Sector in Cambodia?. The event was completed by the 1st Insurance Brokers Night- Gala Dinner attended by more than 100 insurance professionals in the market.
